Based in New York City, Amy Su is a California native at heart. Although her academic background is not in the arts, her studies took her across the United States, Japan, and China during her college and graduate school years, shaping her curiosity about people and culture. Her journey into photography began unexpectedly after she picked up a Leica camera at a local event soon after moving to New York City. What began as curiosity quickly evolved into a passion for capturing genuine moments and meaningful portraits. Along the way, she has had the privilege of photographing inspiring individuals from diverse backgrounds. Outside of photography, Amy enjoys visiting museums, traveling, practicing yoga and Pilates, and exploring new cuisines and cultures.

Amy’s work includes portraits of individuals across fashion, art, and culture, including Anna Sui, Brooklyn Beckham, Carmen Bicondova, Cleo Wade, David LaChapelle, Eva Chen, Iris Apfel, Joan Chen, Lan Yu, Mary Ellen Mark, Mary Katrantzou, Michelle Phan, Miranda Kerr, Ralph Gibson, Rock Ji, Shaosheng Li, Takashi Murakami, Vivienne Hu, Wendi Murdoch, Yue-sai Kan, among others.
